RÉSUMÉ
The Lamé equation is a classical equation arising from mid-19th century mathematical physics. Beside its importance for physics this equation also turns out to have interesting algebraic and arithmetic aspects. One of the questions we will deal with is which Lamé have algebraic functions as a full set of solutions.
