RÉSUMÉ

Let $R$ be a regular local ring and $K$ be its quotient field. Let $q$ be a quadratic space over $R$. Suppose $q$ is isotropic over $K$. Is it isotropic over $R$? This is an old problem. We solved this problem positively in the case when the ring $R$ contains the field of rational numbers.
