The vibrant and bright city centre, in particular its historic area, mentioned in the Unesco World Heritage list, makes Bordeaux one of the most attractive cities in France.
After a relaxing promenade along the Garonne river and a funny picture in front of the “Miroir d’eau” in Place de la Bourse, end your day in the city with a glass of Bordeaux wine, perfectly paired with some oysters from the nearby Arcachon basin. You must not leave without trying these regional delicacies.

The 14th of July marks one of major party events in France for the year: the French National day (“la Fête Nationale” or commonly “le quatorze juillet”). Festivities and official ceremonies are held in Bordeaux as well as all over the rest of France.
The main events of the day are the firemen’s ball (“bal des pompiers”) and the evening fireworks on the river, absolutely not to be missed.
Some events are also organized for the night of the 13th of July.
