Sequences of integers associated with ergodic infinite
measure preserving transformations.
Abstract:
Infinite measure preserving ergodic transformations are known to exhibit asymptotic behaviors which are quite
different from those of more familiar finite measure preserving ones. Based on this fact one can associate
to such transformations classes of infinite sequences of integers, which provide isomorphism invariants for such
transformations.
In this talk we discuss density and other number theoretic properties of such sequences, particularly of the so-called
weakly wandering and dissipative sequences.
