IMB engineers and technicians (F/M) are dedicated to research and research support activities.
Administrative organization
The administrative and financial organization of the IMB relies on a team of six ITA/BIATSS staff members, consisting of:
- Karine Lecuona, Administrator of the department responsible for the administrative management of the laboratory, supervising and coordinating the administrative team. She is also the Prevention Assistant and Safety Correspondent.
- Idéale Andrianirina-Mamisoa in charge of the PDE team
- Ida Sirben conference coordinator, in charge of the Number theory team
- Catherine Vrit human resources representative, in charge of the Optimal team
- Nadia Mechalakh in charge of the Geometry team and the Analysis team
- Severine Chantereaux provides support to the administrative team
In addition to all aspects related to missions and expenditures on the budget lines of the various departments, administrators ensure that administrative procedures relating to permanent and non-permanent staff are implemented. They also welcome new IMB staff.
Organization of the IT Team
The IT team is made up of eight ITA/BIATSS staff members.
The unit is organized into two divisions:
- The Systems and Application Integration Division, consisting of Sylvain Allemand, Alexandra Braybrooke, Sandrine Layrisse and Thomas Ribeyron
- The Computing Resources and Development Division, consisting of Bill Allombert, Philippe Depouilly, Laurent Facq and Khodor Khadra.
Duties:
- Managing IT equipment in conjunction with supervisory bodies and partners,
- Participating in the development of national services (Mathrice Thematic Network) and shared or site-based computing platforms (HPC),
- Training and assisting department members,
- Improving and sustaining the teams’ software production (survey, best practices, support, development),
- Advising contract engineers (in coordination with Inria’s SED),
- Supporting the department’s management in organizing services.
Organization of the Mathematics and Computer Science Library
The BMI is organized around an administrative manager Cyril Mauvillain, two scientific directors, Laurent Bessières and Stanislas Kupin and two student instructors.
The BMI, a research library integrated into the Documentation Department of the University of Bordeaux, is a member of the National Network of Mathematics Libraries (RNBM).
