Team Image, Optimization and Probability
The research activities of the IOP team favour the combination of several branches of applied mathematics in modelling for data science. They focus on the use of mathematics to study problems arising from image processing, optimization, probability and statistics.

Image, Optimization and Data Science
- Development of robust and fast optimization methods in high dimension, applications in data science
- Deterministic and stochastic methods for solving inverse problems in image processing such as denoising, super-resolution, or registration
- Applications in non-invasive interventional medicine
Probability and Statistics
- Random matrices, non-commutative probability, traffic theory
- Optimal transport, stochastic numerical approximation algorithms, application to high-dimensional data analysis
- Probability and statistics on manifolds, stochastic algorithms on manifolds and applications in signal and image processing
- Stochastic calculus, stochastic control
